Finally talked to my little newly married pal, Laurie. Back from the honeymoon and on to married life. Isn't that a sweet time? She was talking about furniture in her living room--her first living room. That is just precious.
It is not at all uncommon for us to not make it through a birthday without someone barfing. It was Evan late last night and, once again, he didn't make it where he should have. Dan was cleaning carpet at midnight.
Mrs. Hammer and family are coming over tonight. They are bringing dinner. That is about the only way to get into my house right now--bring food. The Fins are supposed to be bringing more food tomorrow. For knowing as few folks as we do, we sure know good ones. Helpful ones. Gracious ones. I hate it down here just a little less. Still don't want to stay, though.
Am trying very hard to not do much of anything today. Going to give that a go for a few days, at least. Was going to start getting the kids organized with their school books in their rooms, but not until after a nap. Or two.
Dan and the boys cleaned up the changing table and crib. The changing table had been in the garden shed for two years, so I was amazed it was recoverable.
