What is That White Stuff?
Nice to see you, blog! Just got the power back at 3 pm, on the button. I am fairly sure that is the longest I have been without power.
This is a funny, funny place I live. If any of you reading this got a snowfall where you live like what we got yesterday, you would not even speak of it. But, God bless these South Carolinians! Every school in the area is closed. All public offices are closed. All banks. Even Mc Donald's is closed!! They were warning people to stay off the roads. So, obviously, we went out. I am always a pinch nervous my first winter driving experience of the year, and this was that for me. It was NOTHING. Oh, you guys, you would have cracked up! Went to my new Walmart (someone told me where the good one was hiding) and there weren't ten people there. The roads were dead. It was fabulous.
The only bad part was the loss of power. It got a little cold inside. The kids actually did school by the fireplace! Dan said the chickens were ok without their heat lamps. Beulah has all her pups again. She actually came upstairs to complain that we had taken some of them this morning. Well, fine Miss Beulah, you can deal with them all yourself. She must be a big breastfeeding advocate or something.

Puppies, Puppies Everywhere
Adam and Ian both are good at feeding the pups, thankfully. Did you know puppies are REALLY loud? We decided to let mama deal with them all at night and we will help during the day. Going to be a long week. But they sure are cute. I need to get to the library to upload pictures tomorrow.
It actually snowed today. I didn't believe it was going to happen, but it did. One big, fluffy inch. The kids enjoyed it.
Big stuff always seems to happen when we stay home. Got an email from my friend at church whose hubby is an elder and has been doing the sermons. They are leaving. No good answer as to why. Good grief. I told Dan if this church falls apart or goes weird, I am done with churches.
Well, we just lost power. Might be a fun night.

And Baby Makes Eleven?
We were watching Beulah with our mouth hanging open and out popped another one. She delivered babies for about ten hours.
I ran out to Tractor Supply and got some formula and bottles. And some high energy food for mama! I read online that it is easiest to split the litter in half and bottle feed half one day and switch them back to mom the next day. The kids are fighting over feeding them. Bet that won't last!

Bob Barker is Gonna Be So Mad
I actually dreamt last night that I watched Bob Barker on TV telling me to spay and neuter my animals.
Beulah started acting funny last night so we brought her in. Alec woke me up about 11:00 to tell me she had a puppy. I was up through puppy #3. Dan woke up to find puppy #5. Alec announced this morning he came upstairs to sleep because they are so loud and that there were a lot of them.
TEN! That poor girl had TEN pups! What happened to a small litter the first time? Mama Kitty had ONE the first time. Oh my. We are staying home from church and trying to do the math--ten puppies, eight nipples. Oh my. South Carolina does not need ten more dogs.
